I grew up in Bakersfield, California in a Non Christian home. When I was 18 I left California with my girlfriend and moved to Las Vegas.

I had messed around with drugs for a while but when I tried Meth (Methamphetamine), I was immediately hooked. At that time I knew that faith based drug rehab existed, however I never thought of going to one.

Meth quickly took over every area of my life. I needed it to wake up, I needed it to work, I needed it to talk to people; I became a slave to the drug.

My addiction got steadily worse to the point where I tried to kill myself. I survived the suicide attempt, but I still did not consider going to a drug rehab center. Looking back I can see that God had His hand on my life even when I was not in Christian faith.

After I found Jesus Christ, I knew that He was the only One who could help me with my addiction.

A friend of mine suggested that I go to a faith based drug rehab to help me get my life turned around. For the fist time in many years, I felt like there was some hope. At that point, I did not know much about faith based drug rehab, but the idea of applying my new found faith in Jesus to recovery sounded appealing. I had been to Narcotics Anonymous meetings, but that was the extent of my experience with recovery. After doing some research on the internet, found that there were only a handful of faith based drug rehabs to choose from.
