Christian Recovery

The heart of Christian recovery is God's word applied to the chaotic and destructive life style of active addiction. Eternal Awakenings teaches about the destructive nature of addiction to include the Christian message as a powerful antidote. We believe that Gods truth is the foundation for Christian recovery.

To start the Christian recovery process is to surrender to Jesus as the crucified, resurrected Savior and to experience the power of the Holy Spirit. Eternal Awakenings teaches the necessity of a daily, dynamic and vital relationship anointed by the Holy Spirit. The anemic lack of power experienced in active addiction changes to Holy Ghost power as the Holy Spirit brings about divine intervention that is Christian recovery.

Our drug recovery treatment programs address the following addictions: Alcohol, Cocain, Heroin, Marijuana, Methamphetamine, Prescription Drugs

Our Christian Recovery Program is taught from the scripture as represented in the Christian 12 Steps. All Christian recovery principals are rooted in scripture. Walking through the steps is assisted by a Christian sponsor who has already “worked” the Christian recovery principals. Further, the participant is introduced to the value of Christian drug recovery support groups. Our participants attend CASA (Christians Against Substance Abuse) and a Christian Recovery Testimony Night at Living Waters Fellowship Church. CASA is similar to Celebrate Recovery and other Christian recovery fellowships that are available nationwide.

At Eternal Awakenings a variety of recovery modes are explored. For example, addiction is a spiritual condition and it has biological, medical, social, family, and psychological dimensions. We are aware of the many faces of addiction while understanding that hope and healing stands on the solid rock of Christ Jesus. Eternal Awakenings provides didactic instruction that covers a broad spectrum of information about addiction through a series of lectures.

A majority of the Christian recovery work that takes place at Eternal Awakenings is done in a group counseling setting. All of our Christian drug recovery counselors have more than twenty years experience both in the field of chemical dependency counseling and as Christian leaders. Individual Christian recovery drug counseling is available on an as needed basis.

We work closely with a medical practice that is experienced in addiction medicine as well as sensitive to the issues of faith that are inherent to addiction. Our doctors manage medical issues in our program.

Eternal Awakenings' Christian rehabilitation program offers 30, 60 and 90 day programs. We ask that people start with a 30 day recovery commitment and then treatment recommendations will be given based on on-going evaluation. Before leaving treatment, clients are required to complete a relapse prevention plan that includes a comprehensive discharge recovery plan.
